Red pandas (Ailurus fulgens) live in the Himalayan forests of Nepal, India, Bhutan, Myanmar (Burma) and China. Their habitat is temperate deciduous forests with many species of bamboo.
Red Panda Network has the main mission of promote education and the involvement of local communities, especially in Nepal, to promote the survival of the little panda in its natural habitat.

Target species : the red panda
Red pandas live in the forests of the Himalayas, where they feed mainly on bamboo. They are classified as "In danger of extinction" on the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Habitat loss is the number one threat.
Rapid population growth in the western Himalayas is causing deforestation, degradation and fragmentation of red panda habitat.

Founded in 2007, the Red Panda Network has become a global leader in efforts to save red pandas and their habitat. The NGO takes an integrated conservation approach that relies on the support and participation of local communities.
Its conservation work covers more than 50% of the range of the Nepalese red panda.
